The Public Policy Professionals Journal invites high-quality scholarly and practice-oriented articles in the field of public policy, governance, and related disciplines. Submissions should be prepared according to the following guidelines to ensure a smooth review and publication process.
Scope of Submissions

Commentaries and perspectives on emerging policy issues
Submission Process
- Manuscripts must be submitted electronically via the official journal email: pppj@pppsk.org or the online submission portal.
- All submissions must be accompanied by a cover letter stating:
- Title of the manuscript
- Author(s) full names, institutional affiliations, and contact details
- A declaration of originality and that the work is not under review elsewhere
- Disclosure of any conflicts of interest

Length Requirements:
- Research articles: 5,000–8,000 words (including references)
- Policy briefs/commentaries: 2,000–3,500 words
- Book reviews: 1,000–1,500 words
Additional Requirements:
- Title Page: Separate from the main text and should include title, author(s) details, affiliations, ORCID ID (if available), and acknowledgements.
- Abstract: 150–250 words, followed by 4–6 keywords.
- Headings: Use a clear hierarchy (e.g., 1., 1.1., 1.1.1.).
Figures, Tables, and Illustrations
- Include all tables and figures within the manuscript where they are first cited.
- Provide clear captions and ensure permission has been obtained for any third-party material.
- Images should be high resolution (minimum 300 dpi).
Ethical Considerations
- Authors must follow the journal’s Ethical Guidelines.
- Research involving human participants or animals must have prior approval from a recognized ethics review board, with the approval number stated in the manuscript.
Peer Review Process
- PPPJ follows a double-blind peer review process.
- Authors should remove any identifying information from the manuscript file before submission.
- The review process typically takes 6–8 weeks from the date of submission.
Open Access and Copyright
- PPPJ is an open access journal; all published articles are freely available under a Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) licence unless otherwise stated.
- Authors retain copyright but grant PPPJ the right to publish and distribute the work.
